Old Duppy Fashioned
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Old Duppy Smoked Rum
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2-3 dashes bitters
- 1 oz water
- Ice cubes
- Orange peel (for garnish)
Instructions:
Place the sugar at the bottom of a rocks glass. Add 2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters directly onto the sugar.
Muddle the sugar cube with the bitters, using a muddler or the back of a spoon. Crush the sugar to dissolve it into a paste.
Fill the glass with ice cubes and pour 1 ounce of Old Duppy Smoked Rum over the ice.
Stir the ingredients gently for about 20-30 seconds to chill the mixture and allow the flavors to meld.
Hold the orange peel over the glass and express its oils by giving it a twist. Optionally, run the peel around the rim of the glass for added aroma. Drop the twisted orange peel into the drink as a garnish.
